Day 02: A Fistful of Raisins

Almonds
Don't like almonds? Nuts to you!
Energy Level: Medium
Sleep: Broken (10:30pm-1am, 4:30am-6:00am, 6:30am-9:00am, 9:30am-1:00pm)
Mood: Cranky
Weight: 238.2 lbs (29.3% body fat)
Weight Change: -1.9 lbs (0.7% body fat)

Woke up over and over again last night, partly because of a fussy dog, but got LOTS of sleep overall (too much really). One of my missions today is to wake the dog every time she falls asleep, so that she'll sleep all night. While surfing through my insomnia last night I read that ...
"When almonds are the first thing in your stomach after arising, they set the hydrochloric acid tolerance for the day, providing all-day protein digestion. When almonds are eaten first, they are efficiently digested since stomach acids are concentrated after the nightly fast."
so that's what I'm going to do. I'll soak my batch in water for tomorrow's breakfast.

BREAKFAST (1PM):
  • 20 Almonds and a pint of water
  • Juice (2 Oranges, 1 Chunk of Ginger, 6 Strawberries, 6 Red Grapes, 1 Cup Pineapple)
  • Banana
LUNCH (5PM):
  • 6pcs Salmon Sashimi (w/ Ginger, Wasabi, Soy Sauce)

DINNER (9:30PM):
Marinated Zucchini Noodles

  • Zucchini Pasta (Cashew sauce, Sundried Tomatoes, Apple Vinegar)

SNACKS:
  • Veg Juice (2 Cups Spinach & Parsley, Orange, Strawberries, Bananas, Ginger)
  • Kale Chips (SO GOOD!)
  • Raw Vegan Cookie (Yuck!)
  • Bananas
  • Raisins

EXERCISE:
  • Winter Cycling (11km)

Operation keep dog awake was a success. When I went out for a ride I put "No Sleep Til Brooklyn" on the stereo at high volume. She loves that.

Ate a TON more calories today, but that damn gross cookie screwed my ratios. Boo-urns. Try again tomorrow.

My body heat finally bounced back to normal shortly after lunch. My mild headache is gone too. And I grew wings! Wait ... not that last one. More energy though, that's a good sign.
